During your trail, discover nature, take part in creative activities, and explore sensory stations, follow clues, enjoy storytelling and embark on a bear-hunting adventure.
An immersive, interactive family adventure inspired by the classic story We're Going on a Bear Hunt. Families will follow a storytelling trail through a series of sensory discovery stations, bringing the story to life through movement, imagination, and outdoor exploration.
Participants will journey through wavy grass, a river, muddy movement activities, a swirling snowstorm, and finally a mysterious bear cave. Along the way, children will take part in storytelling, simple choreography, rhythm, and sensory play, as well as nature-based discovery such as exploring textures, sounds, and natural materials.
The experience encourages creativity, teamwork, confidence, and engagement with nature and storytelling. The session concludes with a celebratory bear moment, group photo opportunities, and a reflective sharing circle. About the Artist - Salma Zaman, winner of the Yorkshire Women of Achievement Award in the Arts category, is a multi-award-winning children’s author, dance educator, and founder of Salma’s Bollywood Academy, Yorkshire’s first, largest, and leading Bollywood dance academy in the North of England. Her academy has been recognised with awards including Best Dance School and Best Inclusive Dance School for Yorkshire and the Humber.
An accomplished author, Salma is celebrated for her inclusive and diverse children's books that promote individuality, confidence, and creativity. Her book Greedy Gertie was endorsed and recited by royalty. Alongside her writing, Salma has over 30 years of experience in dance and education and has appeared on Coronation Street, BBC, ITV, and Channel 4.
