Black History Month

Black history is not a specialist subject or an add-on to the curriculum. It is present in our towns and cities, in public service, in the arts, in business, in faith communities and in family memory. It forms part of the social, cultural and civic development of the United Kingdom. This year’s theme, “Honouring Our Communities,” invites us to recognise the individuals whose everyday contributions shape, support and sustain Black life across the United Kingdom.

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day takes place on Saturday 10th October 2026. Poor mental health can affect anyone, and is often linked to experiences like trauma, money worries, or stress. Trauma can take many shapes, and its impact feels different for everyone, making every experience unique and personal.

Mental Health UK provides free downloadable resources to help people of all ages and in any setting look after and support their mental health. These include guides, conversation tools, wellbeing planners, and toolkits on topics such as burnout, menopause, and sleep.
