World Autism Awareness Month 

World Autism month takes place the month of April and schools are invited to take part in creating a more inclusive and accepting society for autistic people. The National Autistic Society offer free school resources packs which include lesson plans, assemblies, and classroom activities designed to build empathy, encourage understanding, and celebrate neurodiversity. Stress Awareness Month 

Stress Awareness Month is observed every April to raise awareness about the causes, effects and management of stress. Mental Health UK explains what stress is, how it affects you, and practical strategies to manage it before it becomes long-term or leads to burnout. Understanding your stress triggers and coping strategies can help protect your mental and physical wellbeing. The Stress Management Society have released a variety of free downloadable resources that were designed to help turn awareness into meaningful action throughout April. Earth Day 2026

Earth Day will take place on Wednesday the 22nd of April and follows the theme Our Power, Our Planet. On the Earth Day webpage there is a hub full of toolkits, actions and resources designed for students, families and workplaces that can be used to promote Earth Day. The BBC are hosting a Live Lesson at 11:00, Wednesday the 22nd April on the CBBC channel or it can be watched from 9:00 on BBC Bitesize page as it is pre-recorded. It will be a curriculum linked 30 minute lesson for 7-11 year olds that will explore themes like, what climate change is and how carbon dioxide warms the planet. Easter activities and resources 

Join in with fun springtime activities and find useful resources on supporting children during the holidays. BBC children in need have a variety of activities from colouring sheets to positive relationships daffodils craft, all of which you can use at home or in school to keep children engaged, encourage creativity, and support their emotional wellbeing during the spring break.
